This book of Acts was written by Luke. He also wrote the gospel of Luke. In this book, Luke tells How Jesus was taken up to heaven. It tells how the apostles spread the Good News of Jesus in Jerusalem and then to people in other towns throughout the known world. Luke tells about the coming of the Holy Spirit and the growing numbers of the followers of Jesus. The Holy Spirit instructed the new followers and gave power to the believers.
